Peter Garrard is a Vice President of CCA.
Peter has held a range of career positions including Principal, Epping Boys High School from 2007-2012 and Principal, Doonside Technology High School from 2004-2007. Prior to these positions he held a range of senior positions in the Department of Education during his teaching career from 1975-2003.
He has undertaken a range of community-based roles including being President of Epping Rotary Club from 2015-16 and in 2016-2017. He is a volunteer at Easy Care Gardening from 2013-2017. He has been a Board Member at Macquarie Community College from 2010-2014.
He has received a number of awards, including NSW Premier’s Community Service Award in 2014, NSW Secondary Principal’s Distinguished Service Award 2012 and NSW Department of Education Thirty Year Service Award in 2006.
His experience and interests include: secondary education, adult education, vocational education, student welfare and counselling, boy’s education, disabilities, volunteering and community-based service, mentoring and leadership.
