Hi! My name is Sureka. I believe that each child has a unique learning pattern and has a different set of skills. I will nurture and grow these skills in a safe environment, the safety of the children is most important to me.
Aggressiveness and bad behaviour is not tolerated in my day care, if a child acts in such a way, I will talk with them first and teach them how to act appropriately with the other children, notifying their parents so that they could also keep watch of the child's behaviour at home.
I understand that my Family Day Care might be the children's first experience in a place that is unfamiliar from their home, so I am committed to making them feel safe and at ease. I will develop their communication skills, not only with me but also the other children that they're with, so that they may talk to me if they have any problems.
I recognise that parents play a major role in a child's early days, and so I will talk with each parent every day about how their child is doing in my care.
I believe in the Multicultural composition of Australian society and the diversity of nationalities and religions. I will help the children recognise and acknowledge these differences, and to realise the similarities they have with the other children.
