Letter from Chairperson of CCA Board

To: Board members, all employees and volunteers

From: Peter Garrard

Subject: Appointment of new CEO (Chief Executive Officer)

Date: 6 December 2024

As you know the position of General Manager has been vacant since Heather Pinto went on extended leave from early April 2024.

During this period the Acting General Manager has been Adelaide Collisson.  I wish to thank her for undertaking the role with integrity, dedication and a commitment to   CCA that would ensure that our service to the community was first rate at all times. It was also clear that the staff were appreciative and supportive of her role during the last 8 months.

The Board decided that to replace Heather Pinto we would use a recruitment agency to ensure the process was fair for all candidates who applied. The process of choosing a new CEO was extensive and competitive.

I am delighted to announce that Gillian Batt has been appointed as the new CEO of CCA New South Wales.

Gillian has had extensive experience in the Not-For-Profit sector and more broadly in community services. Gill has had a wide range of leadership roles for over 20 years.

I look forward to the contribution that Gill will make at CCA in leading our organisation.

Gill will begin at CCA on Monday 6 January 2025.

Kind regards,

Peter Garrard

Chairperson of the Board
