Mandy Van was appointed to the Board of CCA in August 2021.
Mandy has been a vibrant member of the Australian community for over 30 years, dedicating her time to various community groups, including the Chinese community. With a strong background in graphics, pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging, printing, and account management, she brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to her work. Her skills in quality assurance, global corporate requirements, corporate branding, and project management are complemented by her strong interpersonal abilities.
Mandy is actively involved in her local community as a member of the Rotary Club of North Ryde, where she served as President (2020-2021) and Secretary (2018-2020). She has championed numerous initiatives, including the Country Students for IT visit, Fun Run for Youth Mental Health, Model United Nations Assembly, Carols in the Common, and fundraising for the Larapinta Trek benefiting ShelterBox Australia. Additionally, she is a member of the Lions Club of Sydney Defence and Emergency Services, having held the position of Vice President from 2017 to 2021.
As an Executive Committee Member of the Way-In Network, Mandy supports charity events and seminars focused on empowering Asian women in the community. Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, she bridges cultural gaps and fosters connections.
Outside of her professional and community commitments, Mandy enjoys swimming, dancing, photography, and practicing Chinese calligraphy, reflecting her creative spirit and dedication to lifelong learning.
