James Scott

Treasurer

James Scott is the Treasurer of CCA New South Wales Ltd.

James grew up in the UK where he studied at Loughborough University before moving permanently to Australia in 2002. He has been an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2005.

Most of James’ career has been in finance roles. Firstly, as a Management Accountant for the George Institute for International Health from 2003 to 2008 and then as a Finance Business Partner for AMP’s advice business from 2008 to 2017. James still works at AMP having moved into Mergers & Acquisitions in 2017 and has held the title of National Manager, M&A Services since 2021.

He has a strong track record in leading teams and delivering large-scale, complex business changes and transactions. James works closely with senior leaders to achieve successful business outcomes and has significant experience in managing commercial arrangements and business sales negotiations.

James started to move into volunteering 6 years ago, including being a Treasurer for another community organisation for a number of years as well as being passionate about children’s sports where he coaches and manages boys and girls soccer teams.
